Making Parts

Since I had a little extra time on my hands, I decided to take care of a detail on the Tsukagawa Deuce. We are using dual Stromberg 97 carburetors and I needed some way to get fuel to them. The usual way is to use a fuel block, usually a chunk of cast aluminum with one fuel line in from the pump and two lines out to the carbs. I did not want to use a fuel block so I made a two into one fuel line. I'm not sure It'll stay like this, but let's take a look.

Here's the fuels lines in place, the one is marked with dykem for scribing.

Here's the short line in the mill opened up at an angle.

Back in place, now it's time to mark the long line for milling.

And here it is set up in the mill and slotted.

The two lines machined and set up on the welding table.

And here's the finished product. No fuel log, no brass fittings, very clean! Maybe' I'll have it nickel plated...
