Lincoln Progress

Last time we saw the 1947 Lincoln it had been stripped to bare metal in preparation for primer. Since then  it had all the body work done and it's in primer ready for paint. The painter decided to remove the fenders to be able to bodywork them off the car and also so we could shoot some undercoating on the inner fenderwells.

With the fenders removed, it's starting to look less like a quickie paint job and more like the big project that it is.

After stripping it to bare metal, the body man found lots of flaws that he just couldn't live with. It took a lot of sanding to get it here.

Here he is making the door jambs perfect.
