This 1955 Chevrolet 210 station wagon is owned by a friend who is an artist with Troy Lee Designs. He has a great eye and this perfectly patina'd wagon is a perfect example! While the paint, interior and running gear are original, the entire suspension was replaced with state of the art pieces from CPP. It's got tubular a arms, dropped spindles, dropped srpings, new shocks, four wheel disc brakes and a bitchin' set of Astros.
The stock 265 V8 is still hoolked the the stock cast iron Powerglide 2 speed automatic transmission. The Powerglide is an old design that doesn't work well at all so he brought me the car to do a turbo 350 three speed automatic transmission swap. Not too much to look at, here's some pics of the car and a few details of the job. Enjoy!

This '55 Chevy wagon has it all. Perfect patina, great stance and modern suspension. |

This is what California cars look like, and why everyone in the whole world is buying them up right now. |

This is an original interior. That's 56 years old! |

While the suspension and brakes are upp state of the art, the motor and transmission are just as Chevy made them. The Powerglide 2 speed was Chevy's first stab at an automatic, and it left a lot to be desired in terms of performance. |

The swap was pretty straightforward, but the crossover in the exhaust hit the Turbo 350 transmission pan. i whipped up this little number with a few bends to snake around the pan. |
