So one of my clients brought in this peach of a project. It's a 1940 Ford coupe that someone started builing into a Bonneville car some time ago, and apparently never finished. It has been chopped and channeled, and it was put on a custom made frame. The front fenders were removed and the rear was narrowed to suck the wheels into the body as close as possible for streamlining. The motor has been set back considerably, so much that you have to drive it from what was the back seat. All in all, a very big project to be sure. He wants to fix the chop, put a motor in it and drive it on the street.
So in a real ironic twist, some friends of mine actually recognized this car and came up with a Rodders Digest article from 1993 that shows the car under construction. Turns out it has some history!
