This 1971 Mustang convertible showed up last week. Ford never made a Mach 1 convertible so this is kind of a Phantom car. Overall it has been built very well with a lot of attention to paint, interior and overall details. This car was brought in by the same client who brought in the '67 GTO convertible, and for the same reason. I'm going to install an aftermarket air conditioning system in it.
This car is also badly in need of a tune up, and the exhaust was routed too close to the steering box so it bangs around. I'm going to see if the client will let me take care of these things and a few others while it's here.

Ford never made a Mach 1 convertible but you'd never know looking at this example. |

It's got all the Mach 1 cosmetics. |

Very clean interior, nicely done. These cars had a lot of very shitty plastic from the factory so it took a lot of work to make this look as nice as it does. |

The mechanicals present very nicely. This car will be a pleasure to work on, more or less. |
