I finished up the Mustang convertible as well. Besides the Classic Air air conditioning kit we also added a trio of aftermarket gauges into the console. The client wanted these gauges but he wanted them to look factory, which presented a bit of a challenge since the whole thing is made out of plastic and it's textured. I don't work in plastic at all so I had to enlist a bodyman friend of mine to figure something out. I made a three gauge panel out of metal with the proper angle so the gauges would be level when installed. My friend Marco (the bodyman) attached my metal part to the plastic console using fiberglass and epoxy. Finally, he body worked the whole part back to perfection and even painted it with a textured paint. It looks factory.

The Classic Air kit fit very well. Even the pre bent hard lines went exactly where they should. It looks like it belongs there. |

Here's the add on gauges wired and ready to install. For some reason the gauge manufacturer decided that each gauge required two grounds, one for the gauge and another for the lights. So it made for a few extra wires, and for no reason. |

Here's the driver's view. Note the texture...looks factory! |
