Meet The Players

This 1966 Mustang convertible is a ground up build. The body arrived on a cart from the paint shop and I will be turning this into a running, driving car. The owners have chosen to build this car right, and the quality of the work thus far really shines. The body shop painted everything top and bottom, but they only sprayed a few coats of base color without clear on top. The plan is to make the car a driver and then return it to the painter for one more sanding, one more base coat and a ton of clear. Then it will be cut and buffed, and then back to me for final assembly with chrome and trim.

This will be a top notch effort, check back for updates often!

It took a little wrestling and a little luck but I got the body safely off the cart and on the lift. It's painted the factory Vintage Burgundy with a black interior.

The car will be built as a GT clone so all the stock Mustang trim holes have been filled.

The floors were shot with a textured sound deadener and we will install dynamat in the doors as well. The dash has been shot in the factory semi gloss black.

The engine bay was stripped to bare metal before being treated with a rust preventer and finally shot in a semi gloss single stage black. There's a lot of material in there, it looks great and will last a very long time.
