Meet The Players

This 1969 Camaro was a project I began four years ago. At that time it was a ground up build featuring a full TCI front and rear suspension and an LS2 out of a 2005 GTO. I built the whole car, fabricated all the one off parts and the  blew it apart for paint. One thing led to another and the project was in various limbo states for two and a half years. A few weeks ago the owner contacted me to say he was ready to finish the project.

It is a very nice car, the paint and body are show quality. In these pics I have already installed the LS2/4L60E combination and started on the chassis wiring. This project should move fairly quickly and be a driver in the next six weeks or so.Then it's back to the body shop to assemble the front clip and then finally to the interior shop. This has been a no expense spared build up to now and will be from here on out.

This Camaro was sttripped to bare metal before the rust was repaired, then it was put on a rotissere for priming, blocking and paint.  It's really, really nice.

The car was bought new by the owner's dad in 1970 as a left over. It has been in Pasadena all this time.

The LS2 came from a 2005 GTO and make 400 horsepower stock. We will be adding a billet serpentine drive and Vintage Air. The owner is also mulling over a cam replacement and possible nitrous oxide!
