1969 Camaro Progress

This is kind of a fast forward, but we got the 1969 Camaro running and driving. We wired the car from scratch, plumbed the brakes and fuel system and sorted a thousand little things. Highlights include determining the oil pump pickup was not installed in the motor only after we had it all done! The motor had to come back out to install it. We also discovered we had the wrong wiring harness for an automatic car so we had to make that from scratch as well. These things are typical of a project with long breaks in between. In the end it turned out super cool and now it's back to the body shop to get the rest of the sheet metal installed and to paint some Z/28 stripes on the hood.
The stance is really nice and totally adjustable thanks to the TCI coil over suspension on all four corners.

The car is laser straight. Note the front wheel offset, the TCI front suspension sucks the wheels in hard for some reason so we will be looking for spacers or different wheels. at some point.

The 6.0 liter (364 cubic inch) LS2 is from a 2005 Pontiac GTO. The all aluminum motor features a Vintage  Air Front Runner accessory drive and complete Gen 4 Magnum air conditioning system.

Sits just right!
