Last week the 1947 Lincoln got stripped for paint. I removed all the trim, the glass, the bumpers, and the decklid. This week it went to the painters and they got right to it. There was a lot of paint peeling on the top of the car so they decided to take it back to metal. The car was very nice with only one small dent in the whole car. Here's the photographic proof.

I took all the grill pieces, the bumpers, the headlight bezels, etc. There were a lot of small pieces, everything was cataloged and bagged. |

All the side trim was removed as well, along with the glass and all interior garnish moldings. |

The whole continental kit came off as well. I took a lot of photos to make sure I knew how to put it all back together. |

I went back a few days later and they had stripped the whole top of the car to bare metal. | | | | | | | |

Now they will sand the rest of the car, do minor body work and shoot it in primer. |
